While the world media suggest that Manchester United are closing in on a deal for the Dutchman, after placing a £35 million bid to Inter, Sir Alex Ferguson is less positive about a deal, much like his latest comments about Arsenal's Samir Nasri. Of the Senijder deal, Ferguson said:
The details on the proposed deal between Manchester United, Inter Milan and Wesley Sneijder can be seen here.
"No, these reports [that a bid has been accepted] are not true. Inter refuse to sell him, so it's a difficult situation. We'll see."His comments at least confirm that Manchester United have an interest in bringing Sneijder to the club as a replacement for Paul Scholes, but it is Inter's stubbornness that stands between the deal being completed.
