The Costa-Rican played in CONCACAF Gold Cup, Copa America, and the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2011, scoring two goals in six international appearances.
Arsene Wenger seems very happy with the signing, which is subject to the completion of formal agreements and processes. The Arsenal manager said:
"Joel Campbell has already shown that he is a player with great ability, and has also performed well on the international stage at a young age."
"We look forward to the formalities of the transfer being completed and working with Joel when he joins us at Arsenal."Arsenal have already signed Gervinho this summer from Lille, a striker who is tipped for big things up front paired with Robin van Persie, so it is unlikely Campbell will be given a large slice of Premier League action this season, starting tomorrow.
