Arsenal to Sign Brazilian Defender
The Fenerbahce player is expected to finalise his move to Arsenal within the next 48 hours. It is activity from Arsene Wenger which goes some way to revitalising the defence which was battered by Manchester United on Sunday as the manager seeks to find a left back as a replacement for both Gael Clichy, now of City, and Armand Traore, who will soon be a QPR player.
Reports from the Turkish news site NTV Sport claim that Fenerbahce and Arsenal have agreed a fee for the player, who joined the Turkish side in 2009.
In May, the European Champions Barcelona were linked with Santos, but he is currently said to be on his way to London to sign a four year contract with Wenger's side.

It has been an awful start to the season for Arsenal, with injuries, suspensions and one mighty battering from Manchester United, conceding eight goals at Old Trafford.Arsene Wenger has found himself under huge pressure which really began when the transfer window opened this summer, slowly building up with the lack of new faces at the club, mixed with a handful of very disappointing results. He seems to be content with his current squad, while all around him tear their hair out in frustration at his apparent oblivion to Arsenal's obvious needs.
